Codesmith's curriculum centers on computer science and full-stack JavaScript, with an emphasis on in-demand technologies like React, Redux, Node, DevOps, and machine learning. As a CIRR-Certified school and audited by a third-party accounting firm, Codesmith is one of the leading programs in job placement and median starting salary. According to most recent CIRR reports (January - June 2019), Codesmith's NY grads earned the highest median salary ($125K) of CIRR-member schools, with 92.1% of graduates hired full-time within just 180 days of graduation. LA grads also demonstrated one of the top results, with nearly 90% of students landing their first roles within 180 days post-graduation at a median starting salary of $114K.

Student Services

Codesmith offers scholarships for those who identify as:

  • Veterans (while we’re unable to accept tuition assistance directly from the GI Bill, there is a special scholarship dedicated to those who have served our country)
  • Women
  • Minorities in Tech (those who identify as Black, Latinx, Pacific Islander, and Native American etc.)
  • Members of the LGBTQ community
  • Prior Bootcamp Grads
  • Black engineers (covering 100% of tuition for our Software Engineering Immersive programs for 10 Black students through the end of 2020)

Mentorship Programs:

The Women’s Mentorship Program and Mentorship Program for Black Engineers help provide additional support to women and Black people in different phases of their software engineering journey - as they prepare for Codesmith, attend the program, enter the job search and start their careers. The mentees will be matched with mentors (alumni who have graduated the Codesmith Immersive program) who have similar backgrounds, alma maters, and/or fields of interest.
