The Bureau of Labor Statistics expects kindergarten and elementary school teaching jobs to grow 3 percent from 2018 to 2028, which is slower than average when compared to all occupations. High school teachers, meanwhile, are at 4 percent. But when it comes to teaching jobs, employment growth and opportunity will vary by region.
Teaching offers a challenging but satisfying career path. Those that enter this field should have a passion for teaching, and be driven to help mold young minds. Veterans who greatly enjoyed training and/or instructing would likely be a great fit for a teaching role.

School systems will often seek experienced veterans who have passion and find purpose teaching youngsters to help raise the overall quality of their schools.
